Good morning,
Here’s a text that I received in response to yesterday’s newsletter:
LMK if I should do it.
Today’s newsletter covers:
Victoria’s Secret woes
People taking Ozempic to get pregnant
Self-driving taxis coming to Los Angeles
and more!
I’m keeping my eye on:
The Reesa Teesa exclusive
The Cut sat down for an exclusive feature with Reesa Teesa, the TikTok star behind the “Who TF Did I Marry?” series. This woman recently went viral for exposing her ex-husband’s lies, and though the devil works hard, apparently The Cut works harder. They churned this shoot and story out just two weeks since the series went live.
France makes abortion the law of the land
In a very un-American move, France has become the first country to enshrine abortion rights into its constitution.
Airbnb will now tell you if a listing is bad
Airbnb is adding labels to denote its best and worst rentals. The app will display a label to let you know if a listing is in the top 25%, top 1%, or bottom 10% of properties as ranked by reviews.
It’s no secret that consumer preferences have started to favor hotels over Airbnb’s in recent years. People are fed up with cleaning + service fees, unexpected conditions, and demanding hosts. A common complaint I hear is that compared to hotels, with an Airbnb you never know what you’re actually going to get from your stay. This feels like a step in the right direction.
Can Victoria’s Secret bring sexy back?
Hailey Bieber is teasing a new campaign for Victoria’s Secret. I can’t stop thinking about how horribly VS fumbled their rebrand a few years ago, swapping out their hot girl aesthetic for something that feels flat and lackluster repackaged as diverse.
